About the Founder

As a young man at primary and secondary school he was a member of the school wildlife club, where he took school tours of the national parks and game reserve in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe during school holidays. Those school trips inspired Moa and his love for nature and wildlife.

After graduation, Moa returned home to Botswana and started a career in the tourism industry working in the hotel and hospitality sector for 2 and half years. In 2000 the bush was calling and he was employed by Okavango Wilderness Safaris as trainee manager and later became manager and guide in the Jao concession for 6 years.

While he was managing and guiding in the Jao concession, he conducted lion monitoring and also monitored some endangered birds of Botswana. He is accredited by BOTA (Botswana Training Authority) as a Vocational Assessor and Trainer in the Tourism Industry and sits on the ADMP (Assessment Development Material Panel).

Because he is passionate about his job, he is one of the best and most sought after guides in the area. Moa is also a keen wildlife photographer. Some of his work has been published on Africa Geographic and Birding Magazine and he is also interested in ethnology. He enjoys traveling and is familiar with most of southern Africa.
